Durante el inicio de la pandemia, Aracelly Cauich, empezo repartiendo agua, comida casera, ropa y acesorios de higiene con el apoyo de consejal, Kevin de Leon. Despues trabajo en proveyendo el programa de ‘Project Room Key’ para las personas sin hogar. Aracelly noto que habia una gran necesidad en la comunidad y varias familias fueron afectadas por el COVID-19. Las familias estaban padeciendo de estress, anciedad y depresion. Aracelly fue apoyando a las personas de la comunidad brindando ayuda, que a traves fue inspirada en crear 15 sesiones de platicas sobre recursos de salud mental, abuso de substancias, y informacion de vacunaciones.
Varias organizaciones se unieron para apoyar en las platicas, como: EAST L.A Women’s Center, BAART Programs, Vision Y Compromiso, Boyle Heights Parks and Recreaction, LAPD, la oficina de Kevin De Leon, Clinica Romero, Manos que Sobreviven, Centro de Ayuda, y con el apoyo de Margarita Luna Y Arturo Martinez que hicieron unas mananas agradables con sus cantos y guitarras, y otros artistas de la comunidad de Los Angeles se presentaron. Con el suceso de los eventos, Aracelly decidio empezar Hummingbird Hope L.A, ahora una organizacion sin fin de lucro, 501C3- para continuar a apoyar a la comunidad. Ahora la meta de Hummingbird Hope L.A es continuar ofreciendo varios recursos para familias y jovenes de nuestra ciudad de Boyle Heights y sus alrededores.

During the start of the pandemic, Aracelly Cauich began distributing water, homemade food, clothing and hygiene accessories with the support of Council member, Kevin de Leon. Later she worked alongside the program of 'Project Room Key' for the homeless. Aracelly noticed that there was a great need in the community and several families were affected by COVID-19. Families were suffering from stress, anxiety and depression. Aracelly was supporting people in the community by providing help, in which she was inspired to create 15 sessions of talks on mental health resources, substance abuse, and vaccination information. Several organizations came together to support the talks, such as: EAST L.A Women's Center, BAART Programs, Vision Y Compromiso, Boyle Heights Parks and Recreation, LAPD, Kevin De Leon's office, Clinica Romero, Manos que Survivor, Centro de Ayuda, and with the support of Margarita Luna and Arturo Martinez who made pleasant mornings with their songs and guitars, and other artists from the Los Angeles community performed. With the success of the events, Aracelly decided to start Hummingbird Hope L.A - now a non-profit organization, 501C3 - to continue supporting the community. Now the goal of Hummingbird Hope L.A is to continue to offer various resources for families and youth in our city of Boyle Heights and surrounding areas.

Lily Florian es una nativa de Los Ángeles que tiene experiencia trabajando como trabajadora social en la industria de personas mayores y trabajando en el tratamiento de adicciones. La mayor parte de su carrera ha sido en marketing y en ayudar a las organizaciones a prosperar. Lily y Aracelly se conocieron trabajando en colaboración en uno de esos chats de concientización sobre salud mental que coordina Aracelly y comenzó una amistad. Ambos decidieron asociarse para levantar Hummingbird Hope L.A y sus programas para la comunidad de Boyle Heights y las comunidades cercanas. Ahora, Lily es parte de la junta directiva y ayudará con las subvenciones, la coordinación del programa y el marketing.(English)
Lily Florian is a local L.A native who has a background in working as a social worker in the senior industry and in working in addiction treatment. Mos of her career has been in marketing and helping organizations thrive.
Lily and Aracelly met during working collaboratively in one of those mental health awareness chats that Aracelly coordinates and a friendship began. Both decided to partner in lifting up Hummingbird Hope L.A and its programs for the community in Boyle Heights and the surrounding communities.
Now Lily is part of the board of directors and will be helping with grants, program coordination and Marketing.
